After a dizzying 1st round that saw 3 of the top 5 teams in each conference go down to upset the road to the cup looks very up in the air. So who continues the cinderalla run?
For me I see Boston running rickshaw through the east now. They will make it to the cup final, almost unopposed. I mean really. CBJ? Carolina? NYI? Yeah they had their fun and one of these teams will make it to the conference final by dumb luck, but Boston has a pretty easy road paved before them now.
The west is a little more cloudy but I see St Louis going through. San Jose will make it to the conference final, with St Louis taking Dallas. St Louis was a contender at the start of the season who just underperformed but has somehow turned the switch at just the right time.
So that brings us to a St Louis/Boston Final. Does Tyler Bozak get his wish? Recall his open letter to leaf fans after last season.

Anybody but Boston. Columbus and the Isles won't be pushovers. Jackets lost in OT on the road last night. They have some talent and were very physical last night. Boston will need to earn everything they get. I would like to see the Blues and Bozak win. The Blues must be right behind the Leafs for longest stretch without a Cup.

Columbus are no joke... I like their game and have always like Torts.. They shut down Stamkos and Kucharov etc and now working on Bruins big three. They are in MArchands head. he started with a dirty cross check whcih led to a pp goal and then once again a dirty punch to the back of a Jackets Dman who had his back to him and was on his knees. MArchand looks around sees no one looking and punches guy for zero reason to back of head. but he is protected by league. would doubt anything happens.. Of all the teams left, I would like to see Columbus win it. After them I guess St. Louis... No way do i want Boston of course and do not want NYI.. Otherwise dont much care.. But I think the Sharks will win it over Columbus... Just my thoguhts

Yeah maybe we are biased as Toronto fans but I really don;t understand how this guy continues to pull these stunts with zero repercussions. Both of those replays seemed as bad as Kadris IMO. Marchand has a reputation already too. I just don't get how he runs amuck without fear of suspension.

I really detest Marchand and I am tired of the league letting him get away with so much crap before they do anything. Then it seems like they only speak to him and nothing more. As far as the Cup goes, I hope it is either the Sharks or CBJ.

As much as it pains me to say it, the Bruins are a real good team. Leafs didn’t lose because they didn’t play well, they got beat by a hungrier team. This doesn’t mean I hate them any less but watching game 3 last night, St Louis just couldn’t match the Bruins tenacity.

Chara is out for the remainder of the SCF with a broken jaw. I hope that is just enough to upset the Bruins rythmn for the Blues to win the Stanley Cup. (I have always had an intense dislike of Chara, but that is just as a player. As a person, I am sorry he is injured. As a person I have no idea whether he is actually nice or a jerk.)

Don't count Chara out yet. Hearing on the radio today that he'll likely try to go. Could be posturing by the Bruins too, but you never know.

This was the lead paragraph: "Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy said Wednesday that defenceman did not practice and had no update on his injury sustained in Game 4."I hope this does mean he is out.

So Chara gave it a go. Good for him. Still don't like him, but there's some NBA and MLB players that need to look at Chara and wonder why they're missing games.
Let's go Blues!!

Yay, the Blues won tonight in Boston, so now the series is Blues 3 - Bruins 2. Sunday the game is in St. Louis. I hope the Blues can shut out the SCF on Sunday, but they will still have one more in Boston to take the SCF if they don't on Sunday. Both games have an 8pm ET start (if it goes to 7).

Cheering hard for the Blues mostly because I want to see pure disappointment of the face of the Bruins, especially Marchand and Pastacrak. Anyone else think this will be Charas last season? Go Blues!!

Go Blues!! I know he was resigned for 1 more season with the Bruins, but I hope this does make him retire instead of playing next season. That would make me happy to see another player gone that I have always detestd. I really don't like the Blues, but I sure would rather they win the Cup and take away the Bruins sails thinking they could beat everyone and win the Cup again. Plus, it would make me happy for Bozak because I always liked him.
