What a joke of an under achieving team. Nothing will happen

A moral victory for coming back but this team needs victories in the standings. Stupid cross checking penalties on Domi and Giordano cost us. Not one of Giordano’s more stellar games and Brodie was bad too.

It occurred to me over the course of watching last night’s game that Vancouver has so much more of a complete team than Toronto has. The have a top notch goaltender, big and rough defensemen that can still move the puck and a nice combo of forwards that are all good players. Their defense punishes guys in front of their net and their forwards forecheck like crazy. I guess that what’s you get instead of paying 4 of your guys 1/2 of your allotted salary cap. We haven’t guys that produce and let’s face it Tavares is not worth the $11 million he is getting and I don’t think he’s a good leader. He is too soft spoken and timid as far as I’m concerned. This team is a .500 club (22-14-8) and Shanahan has been a colossal failure. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the NHL. Sorry Barilko as I know the Cowboys are your team but my point is a franchise with all kinds of money and a disappointment year after year. They are more concerned with making money than making a winner.

I just watched Keefe’s post game presser and if I hear him say one more time that “we just can’t do that” I’m going to scream. Remember when you benched Kampf and were making players responsible? What the hell happened to that Shelly? Idle threats with no repercussions. He needs to go because this team is circling the drain.

Plus you gotta love the Vancouver defence big physical and mobile, and let’s not forget their rock solid in goal with Thatcher Demko. You can see why the Vancouver fans are so pumped about their team. on a side note its sad to see John Tavares rapid decline, he seemed completely lost out there.

I see The Islanders got Patrick Roy as coach. I'd have taken that . He will hold players accountable..

Tavares seems to be a day late and a dollar short on every play.

It's real depressing. We have taken a step back. Games are quickly slipping away. But I'm not interested any more of trading future for older useless players to make playoffs and get bounced in first rd. Best thing is probably miss playoffs keep whatever picks we have and damage the wgos. Ahh actually.not sure if they care once they get the money

I see The Islanders got Patrick Roy as coach. I'd have taken that . He will hold players accountable.. I was thinking the same thing, but that would be the last thing management would do. They like things nice and cosy and convenient and certainly don't want to hurt anybody's feelings or make people feel uncomfortable. Maybe missing in the playoffs is the best they can happen. I just hope management doesn't do something stupid and cough up the farm. Even if they did, they would just get us another forward.

What's happening to the leafs should not surprise anyone, they have just one NHL caliber line, two NHL caliber defensemen and their two goalies are better suited to the American Hockey League.

And let’s not forget very little cap money to fix any of this. It is what it is. Management has done this and they caved to greedy agents/players and this is where our team stands. Missing the playoffs really will be the best thing but Tre n Shanny won’t wave the white flag and admit they f’ed up and the Leafs will miss by a few points and all the UFA’s walk with no return.

They are all about saving their own skins and there are zero other options. They had better not use them in a trade at the deadline. That would be a major mistake. Leafs need to quit trading away the future like they have done for the last 7 years.
