One of the understated elements of that 2-0 shorthanded breakaway: Nobody hopped over the boards right away to replace Marner/Matthews/Nylander when they came to the bench. Presumably that was because the PP was almost over, but whose job is it to communicate to the team which line should be going in? The coaches! While there was a certain lack of situational awareness on the part of the PP unit (and I'm also guessing that they stayed out there longer than Keefe wanted them to), the fact that the Jets had what seemed like an eternity on that breakaway has a lot to do with the coaching staff not having the team properly prepared. All well and good that Keefe benched the top PP unit on the next opportunity, but where is his accountability for what happened there???

I’m just happy they won a game they shouldn’t have. I complain after blown leads, crappy efforts but I’m saving that for losses. We won, smile!!
