What I heard Keefe say post game was, the team started out good. I can't remember everything he said, but it made me think he wasn't totally happy with how they broke down. Keefe also said the team didn't give Woll any support. Yeah none of us were happy. We gave up way too many opportunities by puck giveaways. The way I saw it we chased the puck all night. Boston was in control the whole game. I'm going to be honest here. Before the game even started I was 98% sure the Leafs would lose the game. It went exactly as I thought it would. (Sorry to a debby downer.) I am not happy about it though.

It's the day after and I've calmed down somewhat. I'm going back to my original view that Toronto should not do a da*n thing at deadline. This team just doesn't have the talent or heart to win anything. My thought is next season there's a good chance the Leafs will have two impact players, Cowan and Minten joining the team on entry level contracts and Knies will be a more seasoned player. With Bertuzzi and Domi likely gone and if the salary cap increases significantly like some have predicted, the Leafs might be able to sign a couple of quality defenseman, not elite, but not bottom of the barrel either. Call me crazy, but I think Toronto stands a better chance of making a run next year.

Can’t argue that. Said a few weeks back that Tre should be selling, not buying. Then they go on a tear and now it’s back into full buy mode. If this team could just play a consistent style every game I could see the advantage of beefing up this team a bit but when they 💩 the bed like last night then what’s the point. In a 7 game series you have to show up to play for 7 games. To get to the Cup you may have to show up as many as 28 times. This team doesn’t have that kind of fortitude or commitment.

Boston played like they got their arse kicked in their previous game and the Leafs weren't ready for that response game. Swayman stood on his head and got some post help.
The game was not as bad as some of the panic fan responses.

Oh I thought it was bad alright. Yes Swayman was good, yes the Leafs had shots/chances but when you give up the wide open shots from the slot like they did and the hot mess they were in their own zone then that is why this panicked fan didn’t like the effort, no push back, no sign of anger. Willing to eat my words if they can redeem themselves in Boston but I won’t hold my breath.

As you said “this team doesn’t have the talent or heart to win anything”. And I truly think the big thing is the ❤️. I think they stand a better chance next year too but can I still call you crazy? 😂😂

There is some kind of toxic mentality within the team. They do not rise to the occasion. How can they all fall off the wagon. I don't get it.
I read earlier leafs were looking at Zack Bogosian. But he just resigned 2 years with wild.
Rumor of 3 team deal. Guentzel to Vancouver, Elias Lindholm to Bruins, and not sure what to Pittsburgh
