I just don't get Keefe. I know overall he has a good record coaching but some of his decisions make no sense. So this period he is putting Matthews line out every other shift. This is not the playoffs. Team plays tomorrow night. Why kill that line? It's not a must win situation. Also he puts Robertson with Kampf and Dewar. 2 defensive forwards. How is an offensive flashy player supposed to succeed there? Dumb! Then he will scratch him for not producing. Also that power play.. awful. I didn't thi k I'd say this but Marner is way more important than I gave him credit for I know you’re not a Keefe fan but when his team can’t get going he’s grasping at straws trying to find combos that work. Flyers deserve credit, they’re playing well but the Leafs just aren’t working hard enough and that’s why they go nowhere this season.

Ive turned them off and am watching classic Magnum PI. A very desperate Wash. team tomorrow then McDavid on Sat. I could be getting lots of sleep in the next few days.

I applaud you for sticking with it. As much as I love this team I have zero faith in them.

I'd roll 4 lines now, we can win doing that and not wear out anyone. Also would give all of our players more ice time and get them primed for the playoffs, when injuries really matter and you need to step up. A loss, but nothing to fret about.

How can you win with rolling the Leafs 4th line. They aren’t good. Benoit imo gets ice over Brodie but it’s probably almost a lateral move. Leafs aren’t physical enough and 3rd n 4th lines just aren’t strong enough. Facing the Cats or B’s is the best case scenario. Rise to the occasion or go home which works for me. The sooner it’s over the sooner I can enjoy summer.

Reaves will probably miss. Right eye closed up from the fight.
As T mentioned just get things over. Not sure I've ever suffered through a season like this. Probably due to my own personal mental health. But I have zero patience with the team. I never shut games off. Ever. But this year it happens a lot. I get so frustrated I can't watch at times. I don't see any scenario of this being our year.
To me it doesn't matter if we play Boston or Florida first rd. We will have to beat both to advance anyway. Right now I can't see us beating either. Another off-season of plug n play with 1 year contracts

We can all face the fact that this team isn’t going far at all in the playoffs. They are too inconsistent and the defense is still bad. I live and die with Leafs games so I usually watch until the very end of each game. Does that make me a masochist? If the boys had played the first 2 periods like they played the 3rd maybe it would have been a different outcome. I don’t expect much more against the Capitals tonight or Edmonton on Saturday.

How many goals have been scored against us when our defensemen are screening their own goalie? I think 3 goals were scored this way last night. As a defenseman they either need to block the shot or get out of the way so our goalie can see the puck. Edmundson, Tavares, Rielly and Brodie were guilty last night. By the way for all those defending Brodie I think he stinks. His play has regressed so much since he got here and he is now a soft spot instead of a strength. That’s my opinion but I respect those of you that like him. He’s just not my cup of tea. And now he will leave after the season and we will get nothing for him. I’m so frustrated with this group. I’m usually pumped for the playoffs but this year’s group doesn’t get me too excited. I’m going to leave now and bang my head against the wall.

Brodie doesn't work well on opposite side with Rielly. But the commander in chief seems to ignore that and keeps playing them together. I don't think he has been good at all, but not as bad as others feel. Now I like McCabe but his faults sort of fall under radar. He seems to turn lot of pucks over and when pressure is on, he struggles to get puck out of zone time n time again. Lilligren has not progressed either. We are a mess inside own blue line. Add in as soon as we touch puck in end most forwards forget defense and head off to the races.

For every good thing the Leafs D do it seems they do 2 bonehead things as well. The time spent in the Leafs zone this season is alarming. Doesn’t bode well come playoffs but maybe the team grows a pair and decides there is only one way out of this drought. What am I saying?? I’ve hit my head too hard against the wall!!😁

Brodie shows me zero physicality and Liljegren is pretty much the same way. I know it might be too soon to tell but I don’t think Edmundson or Boosh have changed things much. It seems that every guy we get at the trade deadline us not a needle mover.

It seems they get surprised by the physicality and the grind of each game. Can’t see it ever changing with the current core as it stands. If JT gets cut loose as captain then it will be Matthews so the leadership will never really change the way the team plays. So that may mean a different coach. If the Leafs are one and done again this season I’m pretty sure Keefe gets the punt.

This team needs a different direction and if the players don’t get it maybe a new coach can convey the message. Although I doubt it.
