I really hate the Bruins. And I detest that RAT Marchand and all the sh*t he pulls. Burtuzzi and Domi need to be with Matthews, not Marner. Reaves need to be on 4th line. Benoit not Brodie needs to be in. McMann and Nylander weren't in practice yesterday, so not sure either will play. Looks like Robertson will play. Samsonov in net.

Not a Leaf fan in the world would disagree with that Pam! I have 0 expectations but just hope the Leafs collectively say “Enough of this sh*t!! No more. Not on our watch!!” JT has to be a Captain. Lead the charge. Show some hate. Lead like a Captain should.

We’re all aware of the negatives facing the Leafs as the series approaches. Boston plays a better team game, had a better record and is expected to win the series; they have owned the Leafs lately and have a notable current winning streak against them; and the Leafs finished the season badly and have a poor playoff record over the past years.
Yes, the odds aren’t favorable but I nevertheless prefer to enter the series on a more optimistic note by considering some of the things that might go in the Leafs favor (hey,we can all dream, can't we?). Boston had a better record but the B’s finished the season badly also—the division title was in their hands but they blew it by losing their final two games. Perhaps a carry-over from that into the playoffs? Despite having the best record last season the B’s got eliminated in the 1st round. The Leafs were playing winning hockey in the latter part of the season until they went into their “Quest for AM’s 70th” mode. Was this the main cause of their poor finish to the season, and now that the “quest’ is over can they snap back into a “let’s focus on winning the hockey game” mode again? The Leafs are too good a team to have lost so many consecutive games to the B’s. Will statistical probability now work in their favor and see a reverse to this losing trend? Finally, we all know how horrible the Leafs are when they’re off their game but we also know just how devastatingly good they are when they’re on their game. Let’s hope that the latter team is the one that shows up! Anyway, we’ll start getting answers to these musings very shortly. May the hockey gods smile upon the Leafs (or at least sport a few grins)!

I have the game on TNT/MAX. I have no idea why they started this game at 8pm Instead af 7pm. Makes the start way too late in the east. In March, Marchand hit Liljegren way too hard. We owe him, but I think it has to wait until next season, because the Leafs can't afford to take a costly penalty in the playoffs.

I am seeing a common trend here so far in the 1st. Far too many missed opportunities to clear the dzone. They have to be more sure of their chances.
GO LEAFS GO!

Not a horrible first but need to push harder, hit even harder and get to the net somehow. B’s don’t make it easy.

Bruins dominated that period. Leafs couldn't get anything going on offense. It could easily be 5-0 Boston and that's no exaggeration. Keefe better figure something out and quick. Maybe the PP to start 2nd will help.
