Some of the answers are terrible. Obviously, many "so-so" Leaf fans voted! Not the people that watch 82 plus games a year!

Most of you have prob. seen this but I thought i'd throw it out there for a bit. Nothing overly surprising after our year-end flop. Is this the poll FW was telling us about? If so, no wonder he said it is tainted. It's obvious that most of the fans who voted aren't Blue and White faithful fans. It also shows that you are forced to vote for a category even if you don't want to vote for it. It doesn't give you any options to give "other" comments. Comments that should be allowed by any poll that is conducted correctly. It's clear to see Leafs Managment doesn't want to hear the truth from the mouths of real Leafs fans.

FIVE year minimum? Psh, no thank you. Why not trade for a first round draft pick? wtf are these people thinking, NOT...i would, if the oppertunity presented itself. and keep Quinn as GM?! May i remind the voters whomever they may be that he brought in: Hoglund Lumme. Berg end of story. sheesh!

This is the one I was talking about. Horrible. But you can't blame the Leafs for it. The Sun did it, then chased down Peddie. Much preferable would have been a group of questions, then request comments. This allows one to see if the person has thought out their position. Much like this board, while we may not agree, most positions are thought out, and people give rationale for them. This is media candy, plain and simple. I would like to see some changes, but I would vote for status quo versus a limited range of options.

Yep, it sure was horrible. Why even bother if they are going to do a poll like that one. I don't want status quo but I don't want a complete rebuild either. There needs to be some changes for sure or we will have the same kind of year next season as this past one. But I think the only way we can have improvements in the team is if Quinn is no longer GM and is not in a position to influence a new GM in such a way it would be just as if Quinn was still GM. That's what worries me about Tambellini.

I participated in this "poll" what I didn't like was the subjects were too one dimensional, I mean com'on who wouldn't want to rid ourselves of the likes of Lumme, Hoglund and Reichel but they limit us to one choice?
I cn't believe the majority of the voters said the mighty Quinn should remain as is ie GM/Coach... that looks a little lopsided as far as I am concerned.
Lap they didn't give you much of a choice with regards to Fedorov, me I also voted for Fedorov who wouldn't want this guy, he works all ends of the ice unlike some of our fave wwhipping boys...

Get rid of Lumme, Reichel & Hoglund! Replace the departed Renberg & Corsen with AHL guys ( ie. Poni & Holden ),...Svehla, if quitting, will save us a pile of money as well...
You add all that up, and we got enough for Federov ;D

Unless they get Hatcher, which they won't.....non of the UFF D-men would come at an expensive price! It's just picking the right one that could be the problem.
DeVries, Yushky etc., are "fairly" cheap...I doubt that they'd go for "too" much!
IF we'd have a GM with some balls, and with the dead-wood off our team....we could have up to 10million to spend on UFF and trades!

I would be happy to have Yushkie back, and De Vries is good, so he would be a good addition to the Leafs Defense. Quinn has balls but the problem with Quinn is they are marshmallow balls. The Leafs need a GM with Brass Balls.

The Leafs need 2 good defensemen more than they need Fedorov. I would rather the Leafs took their money and got a couple of good defensemen instead. You could also look at it this way: A player of his all-round skill level are scarce, scarce, scarce. Obtaining him would give us 6 very capable top forwards with no room for Quinn's experimenting and doing favours for his buddies. NONE. It's also true that we need even more help in our own end but the type of help we need aren't that hard to find: Hard-nosed guys who could care less if they make the stat sheet. To get a coupla tough guys to merely do their job can be found w/out coughing up a lung. Fedorov on the other hand...

OM, I still say they need the Defensemen more than another forward. The Leafs defense is NOT that good. I am willing to bet if the Leafs Defense had been better this season they would NOT have been eliminated in Round 1. They've lacked good defense for at least 3 or 4 years. The Leafs Defense must be improved if they want to make a serious run for the cup next year.
