Lucky Luc of the Detroit Red Wings was bought out today. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that after having a good year in 2002 but a not so hot playoff season, he scored a career low 11 goals, and had zero goals (that I can remember) vs. Anahiem. Luc wants to be courted by these teams Phoneix Montreal L.A. and a few more, Toronto not making his short list. now. Not that I want him on the team, (he's 37; and he's not a hot shish kabob playoff-wise anyway), but to just demand these are the teams that he wants to play with or nothing else, kind of limit his options? I don't think LA can AFFORD to take back Luc. (I don't remember if they signed Miller to a contract extension or not, but I DO know for a fact that Palffy's contract got extended, and that's a lot of dough). this could be the end for him. oh well.

I wouldn't want the cream puff on the Leafs! I have never been a fan of his. There are certain guys in the NHL that for some reason when I watch them play never impress me but always have great stats (somehow). Luc is one of those guys for me.

I have been expecting this to happen because it seems Luc really hasn't done as well in Detroit and this season was really bad for him. Luc, may well be finished but you never know. I think he had better expand his horizon's a little though. It's possible if he did, that some team would sign him for 1 year, but probably not more than that.
