Well, Quinn likes to lure players away from retiring... ============================= Site Map » <br> Larionov's days in Detroit may be over TSN.ca Staff 5/15/2003 Forward Igor Larionov's future in the NHL may be coming to an end. The 42 year old has yet to hear back from the Detroit Red Wings about possibly playing one more season with the team. Larionov will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but has indicated that he is only interested in re-signing with the Red Wings. The Red Wings are intent on trying to re-sign free agents Steve Yzerman, Sergei Fedorov, Darren McCarty and Jason Woolley. According to the Detroit News, general manager Ken Holland put new offers on the table to those four before going to Finland to scout the World Hockey Championships last week. With the team not expected to increase its budget and its desire to work several younger players into the lineup, Larionov may not be an option for Detroit. In 74 games this season, Larionov had 10 goals and 33 assists.
