I think i'm going to puke, Ottawa just forced a game seven with the Devils. Stat Fact: last time the Devils blew a 3-2 series lead, with a chance to win it at home, Colorado won the cup. another stat: 80% of teams that can close out series at home, get eliminiated in the deciding game (case in Point this year; Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Colorado). This blows series cookies, though, you have to admit, Brodeur's mind is really not on the game right now, (you'd think). He was served divorce papers two days ago. (great timing Mrs. Brodeur). game seven Friday night. either way the Finals start on Tuesday let's just hope the Devils are there...

You've got to be kidding!! Hey, Mrs. Brodeur, thanks alot!! Just don't cross my path or I'll kick your @$$ for you!! I sure feel sorry for most hockey players (the ones that don't cheat on their wives). It isn't like women don't know what they are getting in for when they marry a player.

Nope not kidding. it was on the Fan590 (you can catch that online too Pammy during Hockey Season, great stuff for Leafs ) that Mrs B. served Martin papers. according to all i've read Martin slept with her sister (tsk tsk tsk) but they've had an open marriage for a long time Mrs. B. since all star weekend has been flaunting her dates etc etc in front of Martin. now she served him w/Divorce papers two days ago. no offense. this should never be public knowledge in the first place. this is between a man and his wife who obviously had problems. but you're right Pammy. it's not like they don't know. your husband is on the road for 41 games. more if they make the playoffs. their mind for 8 months is on winning the Cup. (why do you think most NHL babies are born this time of year? lol off-season. you can tell who are in the playoffs, and who are not from the babies being born). Brodeur better get his mind on task destory OTTAWA!

I don't believe in that "open marriage" crap. When you are married to someone and the marriage isn't over, that is the only person you should be in bed with (I figured out a long time ago about babies and hockey players. ;D). If they (player and spouse) can't keep their pants on for 41 games, then it serves them right to end up in divorce. I agree it shouldn't be aired in public, but like Movie Stars, whenever a Sports player is served with Divorce Papers it always makes the news. However, since he messed around, I don't feel sorry for him. Martin get your da*ned mind back on the game!! (I know about 590)

(I know about 590) that's good about the FAN just wanted to make sure and i agree exactly w/you on EVERYTHING you said. i just hope that the sister-in-law was worth it because his whole life now is going to be made into one big joke for sports talk shows, and the like it could even cost him the season and leaf fans state of mind i wonder if players have special vows "Through arbitration and lockouts, through good times and waivers, through broken bones/concussions and health, for better and until i come back home, till someone better comes along on the road?"

It was Melanie's brother's wife. Not her sister.
She called Marty up 2 hours before game time and told him who she was going out with that night. This happened during the season. The writers all knew about their separation, it wasn't a secret until some Canadian paper printed an article.
