Hey Quinn...wake up moron , players are going, going, GONE!!!!! ====================================== Columbus signs Marchant, Letowski TSN.ca Staff 7/3/2003 Just days after re-signing centre Andrew Cassels, the Columbus Blue Jackets have made another move on the free agent market, signing forwards Todd Marchant and Trevor Letowski. Marchant signed a five year deal worth $2.9 million per season. Letowski signed a three year contract for $725,000 per season. Marchant is coming off a career year in which he scored 20 goals and 60 points for the Edmonton Oilers. Marchant has played 679 NHL games, all but one with the Oilers. He played a single game for the New York Rangers before going to Edmonton. Marchant has scored 136 goals and 343 points in his career. Letowski was not offered a qualifying offer by the Vancouver Canucks, which allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent. He scored 11 goals and 25 points last year and has 48 goals and 115 points in his 326-game NHL career.

Well we all know how Quinn dallys. Why should this year be any different. Watch for Quinn's usual excuses start to pop up.

I really don't care too much about ANY forwards out there...sure, it be "nice" to have them...it's DeVries/Wesley/Svehla I'm worried about. IF we "ink" those 3 guys, our D is very solid this year...the best in a long time for us!

You know, Quinn is going to have to wake up and realize that nobody good is going to want a 1 year deal and settle for it. He's going to have to give in if they want to improve this team. I really hope this Svehla situation clears itself up - if Quinn is sincere in the fact that Svehlas inability to decide whether to stay or retire, then they really need to address this quick. IT shouldn't be used as an excuse.
