Pammy: if you DID move out of the States, come to Ontario. 1: Leafs 2: HNIC double 3: free health care 4: no actors as governers! If it was really that easy I would have moved to Ontario 4 years ago. Unfortuately our two countries laws about moving between the U.S. and Canada make it pretty hard to do. The easiest way for me to do it would be to marry a Canadian, but I'm not about to get married again unless I love the man. I would never marry a man just so I could move to Canada. That's the wrong thing for anyone to do. I can't use a person that way. I guess I'm just stuck here in this rotten Government until I pass on to a better (hopefully) place.

Pam....I know an American who moved to Canada in the 70's (a yipee) and he is working on his Canadian citizenship cause it's easier to do. I have a friend who is a dual citizen of the U.S. & Canada. (just recieved it last year.....he was considering joining the U.S. Navy) Are you sure it's still that complexed? I may be misinformed on this.....

Actually Tbo you do not have to be an American citizen to join their military, you just have to be an able bodied individual who likes to shoot a weapon. I have met a few Canadians who have gone to the States to sign up.
Correct me if I am wrong here Pam but isn't there a law that prohibits people who were not born in the States from being President? If that were the case then Arnie cannot go onto be President.
Also you guys are making fun of the California crap, all you have to do is look in our own backyard where our fave team plays, Lastman, that's all I will say about that!

she's a landed immigrant. the way she explained it was, that she couldn't go into the US, everywhere else is find; just not into the US I still find that strange. How long has she been in Canada? My father moved to Canada in 1959 as a landed immigrant, but has visited the US on a few occasions (most recently, for my wedding 5 years ago).

(just recieved it last year.....he was considering joining the U.S. Navy) Are you sure it's still that complexed? I may be misinformed on this..... Back during the Vietnam War (60's and 70's), Canada took in a lot of our conscience objectors (who didn't believe in the War for various reasons, so they went to Canada so the U.S. Government couldn't put them in jail). It was easier to get into Canada then. Now it's on a work VISA, marriage, move to Canada but not be able to work there, or as a Landed Immigrant. For a Work VISA, they go by a point system and if you have enough points, you can work in Canada. I didn't have enough points to get a work VISA. I can't afford to move to Canada and not work. I don't want to be a homeless street person. You already know about the marriage. Two years ago I found out about the Landed Immigrant. I went into the Immigration office in Jackson Square in Hamilton. They told me as a Landed Immigrant I could apply here locally (San Francisco) for it, then in approximately a year I would be notified whether or not I had passed the test. If I did, then I could move to Canada AND work. I decided to pass on the Landed Immigrant because I'm too old to wait to see if I can pass. By the time I passed probably employers in Canada would think I was too old to contribute to the workforce.

Without getting political because I hate to do that. I have grown up in a very Democratic family and have always voted Democratic. But I back my president and feel very safe with him in charge right now. I am not ashamed to say it. I feel the US for once will not be walked all over. Sure the economy is bad, but I can sleep at night knowing the country has my back!!

10.Your thoughts on George W. Bush: I think he has stock in the gun companies. His daddy invested in weapons during the first golf war so you're probably correct....

Stick up? What's sticking up?

Ahem. May I have your undivided attention please? I shall respond to the task at hand.
Drum roll please.
1., 2., and 3. are not applicable at this time.

Many times I wondered how I was going to provide for them. I mananged by (me) doing without at times. #15 - Me too!! #16 - YES!! and take Rick Ley with him!
