I grew up all over Canada as my father was in the air force and then I was in the navy. I fought in Ont. and then in New Brunswick.

That's really cool. So how did you end up in Ireland?

You fought in Ont?
I'm sorry, I'm trying to figure that part out.

You fought in Ont? I'm sorry, I'm trying to figure that part out. Reading back I think he is talking about boxing. Since I am fairly new here, maybe I should take a crack at this list myself, even though it is a bit old.

1. Your favorite current Leaf: Was Marner, Now Mathews.
2. You favorite all time Leaf: Wendal Clark
3. Your favorite all time player: Wayne Gretzky
4. Your 2nd favorite Team: Oilers then Sharks
5. Best all time player..your opinion: Gordie Howe for longevity and ability dominate at ALL aspects of the game.
6. The one player you'd like to be on next years Leaf Roster: Return of pending UFA Muzzin, followed Mark Stone. We need a power forward.
7. Last person you'd want on next years Leaf Roster: Brad Marchand
8. Remove 1 player from the Current Leaf Roster: Hutchison. We need a true NHL caliber backup.
9. Where do you live: Caledon, which is 45 minutes north west of Toronto. I spend most weekends at a cottage on Georgian bay(see profile pick).
10.How old are you: 49
11.Occupation: Automation (Professional Electrical Engineer to be exact).
12.Family: Married, 2 kids, 3 step kids (blended family).
13.NHL players etc you've met: Living in the GTA I have met many. My grandfather used to play horseshoes with Foster Hewitt. Stumpy Thomas used to shop at the grocery store near my office. Met and conversed with Wendel Clark multiple times including at his restaurant and other local charitable events. Palmateer actually took my Mom by the arm and escorted her into the closing ceremonies of Maple leaf gardens when she was getting a hard time from security.
14.Name something that may surprise people about you: After my first marriage fell apart I won custody and took on the challenge of raising my two small children on my own. Hardest thing I have ever done, and the accomplishment I am most proud of.

True, the 'Don't really know each other threads' being old, yes, but a good portion of the members have been here since Feb 2002, and others joined within the next year or two. It's still nice to have our newer members contribute to each of the threads. I had a baby (6 1/2 mo old) and was (just) 2 months pregnant with my 2nd child when my first one ended, and I was a single parent for 10 years before my 2nd walk down the aisle. Being a single parent raising children is a hard job. Mother, Father, and family bread winner rolled into one person. My hat's off to you for your accomplishent.
