Well, my first year is now totally over, and i got my first report card. and what they say is true; your marks do drop in university. what can i say, Lappi's not the brighest lightbuld in the box anymore In retrospect, I did stop working second semester, aided with the fact that I was sick most of second semester, pretty hard to do well when you are stricken with the cold and the lazies. I didn't fail French (hurrah!) actually my one and only poor mark came in International Development. I guess my poor little brain can't handle the whole economy as well as I thought it could. Good to know, for taking Business Admin. next year Scary thing though is that how hard I DID work, and I got those low marks. It's very scary, and I can see why people are so depressed over school. I'm very lucky that I'm not going to law or masters or I'd be freaking out right now. By no means am I impressed by my measely C+ average, but I'm impressed for the fact that I survived and now I can learn from this experience. I think next year it's going to be a whole lot more studying, and a heck less hockey, survivor and whatever causes me from distraction (hopefully this time, next year, i'm tellin' y'all about my A+ in second year)

Don't take it too hard Lapi, what happened to you happens to lots of us in our 1st year of University. Don't feel like you aren't the 'brightest lightbulb.' You are very smart. I'm sure that next year you will do just fine.

Some of my buddies say the first year is the toughest b/c of the adjustment period. You go (usually) from a high school where you're familiar with everybody/thing and enter a world vastly diferent. Don't be too tough on yourself. Next year you'll have gone thru the growing pains already.
