I was taping an episode of Dawson's Creek, and the stupid video ran out of video grrrrrrrrr! it was one of those special 8 hour tapes, but if you rewind to the beginning you only have -5:46:05 minutes of tape. so basically the company ripped me off so everyone when you want to tape hockey or any epsiodes stay far far away from the eight hour tapes because you don't even get 6! (hmm...i wonder if there's a way to tape off a tape )

I get the 10 hour tapes instead. That at least gives me 6 hours.

but that's so weird! 4 hour tapes give you 4 hours 6 hour takes give you 6 hours you'd THINK 8 hour tapes give you 8 and ten would would you ten i guess it's because of the speeds EP gives you 2 SP gives you for and SLP gives you six there's no speed for any other well the moral of the tale don't tape Dawson's Creek on an 8 hour tape ;D actually, i'm not going to tape them anymore. going to download them instead! (thanks for the info on the 10 hour tape Pammy though, I haven't seen any around. gotta keep an eye out).

(hmm...i wonder if there's a way to tape off a tape ) Hi lap...Taping off a tape is easy as pie but, if your original tape is on long-play (6 hrs+) the quality on the new tape is pretty poor. Quite fuzzy around the edges etc. Don't get me wrong, it's still quite watchable, but the picture is weaker and i'm sure the sound is of a bit as well. I've never had more than tv sound so I can't say for sure what it would be like if it was hooked up to a stereo.
