3 rescue workers now dead and another in ICU. Things have been completely halted. I still can't get rid of the fact that owner blamed it on natural causes all the while he violated many laws in the mine including failing to have working emergency exits. I just don't get it. Is money worth that much when you have no conscience?? (Maybe I answered my own question.)

That owner seems quite shady. I heard this morning on the radio that he has a historry of unsafe mines. That is just so tragic... I could never work in the mining field.

I'd forgotten that about a dozen rescue workers refused to go down there. I don't even wanna know what they're thinking today.

I have been following this from the very beginning. It is absolutely awful and I feel so bad for the families of the trapped minors and the rescuers who lost their life. I get to hear about 15 minutes of Good Morning America before I leave for work and they usually cover it in that first 15 minutes. I see the local news as I eat breakfast and they cover it too. They are drilling a 6th hole to see if they can find survivors. From the very beginning that owner looked shady. I heard on the news last night the owner of the mine hasn't talked very nice to the family members of the trapped miners. The Local ABC news has a ticker of news items that runs at the bottom of the screen. I can't remember now which branch of the government (House, Senate, etc) said they are thinking of investigating the owner when they reconvene. Myself, I don't think the owner really cares about the people. I think all he cares about is the money he's losing. He's never come across to me as really caring and I felt it was just lip service when he said he cared.
