thanks OM. I kept it low key. Just went out to dinner with my daughter then sat on a beach wall and watched some fireworks in the distance..

I had a great time. The town where my daughter lived is around 700 poplulation year round. Its a sort of vacation resort beach town and can expand to 5000 during the summer.
There was a parade at 1pm and then we had a BBQ around 7pm at home. Most places in California don't allow personal home fireworks. They outlawed them to stop fires. The only problem is there have been more fireworks fires from illegal personal fireworks since the ban than we had before they outlawed the personal home fireworks. It sounded as if Oregon is moving the same direction but they haven't done it yet.
In Manzanita they can still have home fireworks. We had 2 large boxes of fireworks we shot off. At 10pm the town had the town fireworks show on the beach.
Then Bryon, the grandson that comes to San Diego for Comic-con with me every year, "kidnapped" me at about 11:30pm and took me to his apartment to play wii. We played Bowling, Tennis and Baseball on the wii until about 1:25am. ;D
