Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a possible virus scenario here on the Pro Boards. I also have a community action pro boads forum, but haven't checked over there if I get this popup that could cause havoc to your computer.
On Friday, during my lunch break, I came over here and tried to post and suddenly got this popup message saying...
"Your computer has been detected to not have antivirus software. Please click OK to have a free virus scan."
I got the same message Friday night as I got on Leafs Chat on my laptop.
Since I have responded to similar requests in the past, only to infect my computer, I immediately shut down my computer and did not click on either OK or CANCEL. If you click on the popup, expect to install Malicious software on your computer that will damage it. I know from experience on how these virus programs lure you to click on them to "protect" your computer, only to destroy it.
Today I haven't gotten the popup on two different computers, so maybe it won't happen again.
I don't know why it is happening on Pro Boards, but wanted to make everyone away of the possible danger.

I haven't had the virus alert since, but I had saved the message and just now made it into a JPG image. I got it both on my work computer and on my laptop at home. This is what the popup message looked like...
