- Be friendly and courteous to all members. And above all, to have fun!!
- Not all of us share the same opinion. Treat all members and their opinions with respect. All opinions, by both Moderators and Members, should be expressed as if you were the one on the receiving end of the post. Treat all members opinions as you would wish yours to be treated
- Any member, regardless of whether they are a Member or Moderator, who does not respect another member's opinion, will have their post either edited or deleted, whichever is appropriate
- If you would like to post the URL for another Forum, please send your request along with the URL of forum to either leafs.pam@gmail.com, or in a PM (admin, not Leafs_Pam) on LeafsChat. She will review the site and let you know if it is okay to post your URL
- Membership on LeafsChat is by invitation. To nominate someone for membership, send your nomination to either leafs.pam@gmail.com, or in a PM on LeafsChat to Admin. Send the name of the nominee, along with a brief paragraph on how long you have known the person and a few of your personal observations on them, as well as links to 5 of their posts on other forums
If you wish to remain anonymous, please let Pam know. After Pam receives all the information on the nominee, she will send the information on to the Senior Committee, which consists of Pam and the Moderators. We will review the paragraph and the posts of the nominee. After review, the Senior Committee will reach a decision on whether to extend an invitation to the nominee
Pam will notify the nominating member of the Senior Committee's decision. If the nominee is voted in, Pam will post the information on LeafsChat for 24 hours, after which the post will be deleted. Once the the post has been deleted from LeafsChat, the nominating member will send an email to their nominee with the LeafsChat URL, and let them know we are an Invitation Only Forum. They will also ask the nominee to read the Rules of the Forum once they register
If a nominee is not voted in, Pam will let the member know and give them the reasons why their nominee for LeafsChat was not approved
A no vote doesn't necessarily mean that person will never be approved. They can be renominated at a later date, following the same nomination process
At no time should a LeafsChat Member give the URL to a person before they have been approved as a new LeafsChat Member
- A ban of members is possible even on LeafsChat
All Members
Any member who makes posts to taunt other members will have their posts edited or deleted, whichever is appropriate. If the behavior continues, the member will be locked out of the forum for 1 week and then allowed to return. If they repeat the taunts, they will be banned from the forum for a month and then allowed to return. If the member repeats the behavior again, the Senior Staff will decide whether to give a 6 month suspension to the member or permanently ban the member
The following are examples of what could bring about the ban of a Member:
Temporary Ban Offenses - 3 strikes and you're possibly out
You are really dumb and all your opinions are really stupid.
Everything you ever post is really stupid. You don't know anything about hockey. You shouldn't even be posting here
That is a really stupid question
Immediate and Permanent Ban Offenses
Wishing death and/or disease on any member or members
