I was just on the Sportsnet website when I found this article. It comes as a real shock because I watched as he developed more and more good U.S. hockey players, and his passing saddens me. I suppose this means more to me since I as born and raised in California. My prayers go out to his family. There are a lot of twitter responses in the article. I am just listing some of the twitter names from the article. www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/nhlers-mourn-loss-usa-hockeys-jim-johannson/NHLers mourn loss of USA Hockey’s Jim JohannsonThe hockey world is mourning the loss of longtime USA Hockey executive Jim Johannson, who died unexpectedly on Sunday at age 53. Johannson, who was serving as general manager of Team USA’s Olympic men’s hockey team, influenced the careers of so many of today’s players. Many NHLers who rose through USA Hockey’s ranks under Johannson’s guidance took to Twitter to express their condolences and pay tribute to the longtime hockey executive. When I checked on the radio link on Sportsnet for 590 I found the radio broadcast about Jim Johansson's passing on the Jeff Blair show with NHL Network's Brian Lawton. Even though the radio show is 15:44, you only need to listen to the first 9 mins to 9:15 minutes. They talk about High School hockey about the 1st 1:50, then he talks about Jim Johannson. After the 9:15 mark Brian Lawton talks about his hockey career and the LV Knights. From what Brian Lawton shared about Johannson, it sounds like he died of a Heart Attack. If you want to listen the radio show you will need to scroll down to it. www.sportsnet.ca/590/jeff-blair-show/jim-johannson-usa-hockey/The Jeff Blair Show Jim Johannson did it all for USA Hockey January 22, 2018
