I saw an article on TSN several days ago they would make the team. Good for them. Hope they do well.

It’s exciting to see that Minten and Cowen both made the team, though I’m not sure where in the lineup they will play. I believe Minten is probably the teams best defensive forward and will be given the majority of the tough defensive assignments. I saw a Team Canada official say they expect Minten play both up and down the lineup depending on need. Also, I found it interesting that Minten did not play in either of Team Canada exhibition games indicating he had been a lock to make the team before he even got there. Easton Cowen did play in both exhibition and games and I heard Team Canada wants him to scale back on the fancy moves trying to impress people and play the high compete 200 foot game he’s been playing in London. It’s going to be fun watching these two future leafs dawn the Team Canada jeresy and I wish them the best of luck.

No problem Gerard, I’m far from an expert with regards to junior hockey and only started following it as a way to manage my my frustration with what happening was with the leafs. Enjoy the Junior World Championships it’s certainly going to be more interesting with Minten and Cowan playing in it.

Good start for both Fraser Minten and Easten Cowan in yesterday’s first exhibition game for team Canada. Minten playing on the wing with this years projected number one daft pick Mackin Celebrini scored twice and added one assist. Easton Cowen also scored for team Canada who’s first game will be on Dec 26 against Finland.

Hey leafs fans, some really big and exciting news to share with you all. Fraser Minten has been named Captain of the Canadian National Junior team. It shows just how highly Fraser Minten is thought of in the hockey Community. Congratulations Fraser Minten, I’m sure you will make all of us in Canada proud.
