I thought the final was 6-3, as it said 'final score 6-3' on TSN. Next morning 9-3. I guess they were flat and got flatter.

I think if he agreed to going to the AHL to work on his game, he'd need to clear waivers, TO doesn't have much else to replace him with. If it's called a conditioning stint, I don't believe he needs waivers. ? ? ?
Right now though, I'm sure if waivers were needed he wouldn't be claimed.
... and that would be correct that the Leafs have no option to replace Sammy. Martin Jones was the PlanB for a goalie injury, which occurred with Woll, they didn't make plans for Samsonov to crap the bed so badly.
I think a player needs to be recovering from an injury or have a prolonged absence to not be claimed on waivers because a team calls it a conditioning stint, sending players to Robidas?/the AHL because they aren't performing isn't an option, I believe. It would be interesting, if say Marner was playing really crappy TO could send him to the AHL, I don't think so. More than likely sending Samsonov to the AHL would be a riskless move but Campbell was signed so anything might happen. Jones has proven for years that he isn't a suitable NHL goalie, Woll has always been an injury risk and there was a reason Washington didn't resign Samsonov. I was hoping TO would continue to outscore it's problems, I like watching offense.
