I still think we shoulda started the kid. If he cant play vs the worst team in the league who can he play against?
Love to see the boys get to 5-1. Maybe he'll get in for the 3rd.

Great to see the Leafs taking care of business. Their offense should be putting up numbers like this against the Sharks.

The boys looked very good tonight, offensively and defensively. Jones made some nice saves when required, he looks really solid between the pipes. Nice to see Willie have a good game after the signing, no let up. Nice to see Marner explode for 4 points. Good to see Holmgren, Robertson and McCabe score as well.

Sweet! I got my wish for the Leafs to beat the Sharks for the sweep. Granted it was a game they should win, but we all know how often they have played down to a lesser team. After California, the Leafs could have reverted to that tonight. Like I said for the game in SJ, revenge is a dish best served cold. I got double revenge this season. I am not at all surprise Sabourin got a 4 minute double minor. He has played most of his career in the AHL. He was traded a lot in the AHL. His 1st NHL team was the Sens 2019-20. The 1st game the Leafs played in Ottawa that season, I can't remember now exactly what he did, but he pulled something and Matthews skated behind Sabourin to see who the idiot was. The 2020-21 season the Leafs signed him and I made a comment of how could the Leafs sign that idiot. He ended up only playing 1 game for the Leafs and 6 games for the Marlies. Then 2021-22 back to the Sens for 7 games. This season he is with the Sharks, mostly with their AHL team. Hasn't scored much in either the AHL or the NHL.

Solid win. Big test starting Thursday. 3 games in 4 nights. All 3 teams much better than Sharks and Ducks. Let’s see if they can keep rolling.

Oilers and Nucks are both rolling as well. But, the Leafs can’t look too far ahead of their next couple of games either.. Islanders always play us tough, and Detroit as well? Go Leafs!

Nice to see the boys not fall into old habits and soundly beat a bottom dweller. Like has been said tough 3 games in 4 nights stretch. Great effort by the whole team and yes nice to see Holmberg and McCabe get their first of the season.

Normally beating that team wouldn't impress me. San Jose looks about as bad as I've seen in a long time. But our recent history shows we don't beat the worst teams..
I like Holmberg and rt now if Martin Jones had to start game 1 of playoffs I'd be ok with that. He has been excellent

Jones has been super solid but the team has found another gear defensively as well. Gotta give some Kudos to Benoit as well. Not afraid to be physical, not afraid to scrap, not afraid to rip a slapper from the point and I’ve seen a couple stretch passes that resulted in goals. He’s not fancy, just a no nonsense dman. McCabe has been quietly doing his thing too. Really , really have enjoyed the last 4 games but as we all know this could end at any time. At least we know what they are capable of when everything clicks.

Looking forward to these next 4 games New York islander, Colorado, Detroit, and Edmonton. In particular I’m looking forward to the Colorado and Edmonton games. These games against two of the best teams in the league should be a good test for the leafs.
