I am betting the kid is in for this one. The Sharks are not a strong team and we have 3 tough games in 4 nights after this. By giving Jones the night off that gives him 5 days off before playing in Long Island then back/back with the Avs and Wings on the weekend and I dont want the kid anywheres near those 3 esp. in NY.
Lets hope the boys keep up the pressure early and develop the confidence to keep rolling!!

I was sure that I read Martin Jones was in the net for tonight. Keefe wouldn't put the kid in for his first game on home ice and give him added pressure.

Yeah I heard Keefe say Jonesie gets the nod for tonight. Back in the day goalies played every game. With nutrition and fitness way better these days why couldn’t you ride a goalie. The risk of injury could happen anytime so that shouldn’t be a factor. Leafs need points and Jones is our best bet right now to get them. Hopefully Will is a quick healer.
The last 3 games look like they’ve made a team decision to focus on defence, patience and eliminating big mistakes. I hope this carries thru til June.😁

I too have seen Martin Jones listed as tonights stater. For those wanting to see Dennis Hildeby you'll probably need to wait intill later in the week. The leafs have 3 games in 4 nights and I imagine we'll see him in one of these games, perhaps the Islanders on Thursday or the Red Wings on Sunday.

I just hope there isn’t a letdown after a great West Coast road trip. Keep the winning streak going against a low tier team that isn’t very good. GO LEAFS GO!!!

I have to think Keefe would have been better off letting Hildeby get his feet wet against a terrible team like the Sharks, rather than throw him in net against a much tougher opponent in his first start. Playing Jones in all four games tells me how scared Keefe is of losing again to lesser teams. It also makes me wonder just a little bit if Keefe doesn't have confidence in Hildeby's ability at this level. If that's the case we'll probably see Samsonov back up sooner than later.

Gerard, I like the title. Pam time. Yes, Jones to start tonight. He hasn't played since Saturday so it should be him. It would be sweet if the Leafs swept the Sharks. As for Hildeby starting, the Wings might be the best option. In our Conference, Leafs are 5th-47 points, Islanders are 6th-46 points, and Wings are 11th-44 points. Out west the Avs are 3rd in the Conference with 55 points. Jones could easily play Islanders Thursday and Avs on Saturday. Then the kid on Sunday.

I just hope the Leafs play good defence in front of whoever’s in the goal. GO LEAFS GO!

Playing at home against a horrible team. Offense should be able to put in 7 or 8 goals tonight.

Nice to see Holmgren get his first. This is the kind of game where you'd like to see guys like Bertuzzi rediscover their scoring touch. Same for a couple of other leafs.
