With their ability to play up to good teams it really depends if they bring a full 60, the fact they haven’t addressed their own defensive face off issues 5v5 or 4v5 worries me as those are key possessions the Leafs are constantly losing. I call a statement win tonight from the boys 6-4 with many lead changes. Cheers (ps thanks Kaz for the invite) Hypothetical question, if the leafs play to 100% of their capabilities and the Oilers play to 100% of their capabilities who wins. I think we can narrow that down even more. If McDavid plays to 100% of his abilities who wins. I would say the Oilers.

Hmmm great question. Similar teams. Probably Edmonton slightly better Yes very similar though I think Edmonton has a deeper forward group, the leafs are better in goal with Woll when health and Jones serving as backup, defensively both are equally bad. I know Edmonton is on a bit of a run right now but I can't see them going far unless the upgrade their defensive core and trade for a solid backup goalie.

If McDavid plays to 100% of his abilities who wins. I would say the Oilers. McDavid has scored some crazy good goals against the leafs, but at the same time I have seen McDavid have some really ordinary games against the leafs, its almost if the fact he is playing the leafs ( his home town team ) gets into his head and he tightens up. Having said that I fully expect McDavid to being flying tonight and either way, win or loose it should be a fun game.

I certainly agree if McDavid has an off game the Leafs have a good chance of winning, provided they play a solid game. But if he's firing on all cylinders McDavid will shred the Toronto D.

Welcome aboard James. This is a great little group. Its just unfortunate we're on a bad run lately. Its a 10pm start tonight but im gonna give it a go. I am working tomorrow at school so I might be tired. My son is at the game so ive got another reason for the boys to do well. Hes in the lower bowl in the Edm zone so lets hope he sees lots of action.

At least the beer is good. Not hopeful tonight but if they have any pride they’ll at least put on a good game. IF

I know they still have the whole game to play, but wow, Matthews scores 27 seconds into the game.

WAY too much time in our end. Jones cannot keep that up for another 40 minutes. JT tripped up twice but ignored both times.

Leafs up 2-0. Glad that Oilers goal was called back. Leafs have to keep playing with intensity. Can't afford to ease up.

Up 2-zip, but is it bothersome how soft we are playing, will anybody hit an Oiler, and with a vengeance! What were the refs looking at on the Bouchard cross check on Knies? Go Leafs!

That's just what the Leafs couldn't afford. Jones let Oilers have gift goal. Not the night for that.

Too close for comfort. Not sure what Jonesie was doing on the Oiler goal. Lets see what they got in the 3rd.

Nice love tap on Draisatl, Tavares! I am a broken record, but I am so frustrated by our soft play.
2-1 after 2, Leafs have to step up and show that they can play with the big boys!
