Yeah I can’t help think Robertson can still be the player we’d hoped he’d be. Great release and shoots at every opportunity instead of looking for other options. The list of players this team has traded that have gone on to be solid players is lengthy. The thinking that a Cup is just a trade away this season is absurd. Totally agree.

The list of players this team has traded that have gone on to be solid players is lengthy. The thinking that a Cup is just a trade away this season is absurd. Totally agree. I think that depends, we're seeing that with Keefe Robertson will only be played in emergency situations and then only sparingly. Considering productivity offensively Robertson is far more productive than Bert (15:44), Jarnkrok (15:18), Knies (14:14), Domi (12:51), Gregor (11:14), Kampf ( 13:06) and Holmberg (10:40) is the only bottom 6 player that gets less icetime than Robertson (10:56). Reaves & McMann don't count. Moore is having a decent career with LA but he probably wouldn't be having the same great results with TO when Keefe is the coach. Gregor has a decent release and shots frequently. Is TO's d worse than last year, maybe, is the goaltending worse, probably, I thought last year and many years just before last year TO has had spotty d's, the goaltending for those teams never matched the regular season results in the playoffs, if TO comes up with a hot goalie anything might be capable as far as defensively. Some years the d including the goalies have been good enough for TO to go far but scoring during the playoffs has been an issue. Last year in the 2 series I believe TO's playoff scoring was 2 goals from the bottom 6, no team will win with that anemic total. TO needs offense from other sources than the top 4 forwards and Rielly, a proven fact, it doesn't matter how good the d is.
