During intermission in last night's game the panel was asked at the trade deadline, should Treliving be a buyer, stand pat or tinker. Lucas was the only one who said buyer. The other two said stand pat or tinker. I am sick and tired of the Leafs trading away their assets. The only one on your list I would trade is Liljegren. NO to trading Knies, Minten, Cowan, Woll, or their 2024 first-round pick.
I would say a hard no to a rental player. I would also question why Savard has only played 27 games. Probably a bad injury at 20 games. I'm like the panel. Stand pat or tinker. Yes, I know/understand the consequences of that.

I would stand pat if it meant draft picks, prospects. I would be open to trading many of the free agents like Domi, Bert, Brodie. And yes I know it won’t happen because it’s not good business to dismantle a team so close to playoffs but Dubas did it last season and they finally won a round. I just get annoyed when assets no matter what worth they are walk away for nothing. Tre and Shanny can’t be that naive not to see this current version of the Leafs will not get far.

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Hired a new president and CEO on Jan 11, he name is Keith Pelley and he is a Toronto native so he have a good understanding of the history of this iconic franchise and some understanding of it's long suffering fans. New CEO's general like to put their mark their jobs. He can do this with one quick and easy move. Kick Brendan Shananahan sorry ass out the door.
