Nice win. Able to hold the lead.( barely). The fact remains the Leafs were awful for big portions of the night. Dumbass passes, dumbass giveaways, Sammy seemed to be swimming and out of position. Love Benoit and McCabe. Finally a couple of d that don’t take any 💩. If the big boys aren’t going this team loses every night. Zero secondary goal support. I’m gonna keep pounding this drum til the trade deadline… trade off Bert, Domi, Brodie(maybe), trade Sammy or Jones. Despite awful seasons from Domi and Bert they are tradeable. Take what you can get. To think that these 2 might magically turn it on in the playoffs is idiotic.

On the SN post game radio they said Sammy didn' play as well as the last games, but did just enough.

On the SN post game radio they said Sammy didn' play as well as the last games, but did just enough. I felt that he was not seeing the puck very well early in the game, but then he settled in and made some nice saves when he had to. I find that our d, screen our goalies far too much for my liking. Either block the shot, or get the hell out of the way and let Sammy see the puck….Brodie is terrible for this.

The leafs are 6 and O vs Dallas the last two years, is it too late to switch Divisions we may have found a team we can win a playoff round against.

Yes, that’s it. We complain about about the salary structure as well we should because it’s not a recipe for success. Nothing changes until Tavares is off the books or very reduced in salary. I didn’t like BT signing Bert and Domi because I never liked either of them on other teams but I hoped it would work. It didn’t, hasn’t, won’t work. Trade them, trade them, trade them. Let some hungry kids step in and hopefully step up. Won’t happen most likely but while I was very hopeful BT had found some good players on short notice only Jones and Benoit have performed and are on the cheapest deals. Discouraging.

Will take the 2 points but win was same old story. Our big stars outscored our mistakes. 4th Dallas goal, Bert has puck on stick just flip it out of zone. Nope beautiful pass right to their point man. Amazing how bad he is. Maybe it's coaching with him. No direction. He went from the Bruns coach to Keefe.
But it is a win.

I can’t say that I watched Bertuzzi much when he played for the Wings or Bruins, but someone thought he was worth signing? He scored 30 goals in 21-22 and had a couple of 21 goal seasons, at this point we could only dream of 21 goals. Not sure what’s up with him, he skates around trying to cause havoc and he does at times, but his passes are brutal, he couldn’t score on a soccer net, and he is a defensive liability. He has been a bust!

He has been a bust! Bertuzzi has been a major bust and yes our big stars came through but we are just not getting anything from lines 3 and 4. As constructed this team is going nowhere. I’m with the group that says trade Domi, Bertuzzi and Brodie. It would be addition by subtraction. And it’s been a while but glad to see that the boys didn’t forget how to get another “too many men” penalty. Glad they got the 2 points but another giveaway bonanza last night.

yes, we haven't taken one of those bench penalties for a while, but we are averaging one every four games which is something you wouldn't see in my other hockey league let alone the best league in the world. People just aren't paying attention but holy smokes that's ugly. So many costly mistakes every night but luckily the big boys bailed us out.

I'm glad to see the league fined Mason Marchment $5K for interference on McCabe. It was a dirty late hit and should have been called on the ice last night when the Refs saw McCabe bleeding.

Still a b.s. non call by the ref especially saying to Keefe it was a legit hit. Its sad that officials can be that bias and get away with it.
