To be honest with you, I wish the media would stop harping on it. Yes, as a fellow countryman/person, it thrills me a player from the U.S. is this good. But whether he gets 70, or 67, or 50, isn't that important. We know how good he is, he is ours, and that's all that matters. It just feels good to hear once in a while. Now the media needs to stop the constant talk.

With the tear his on its a hot topic esp when hes on the team he's on and the media blitz behind it but, seriously, stop bringing it up.

It will never stop. Media is relentless about this team. I think it’s harmful to the team. When they play well they lavish praise and Leafs players heads swell. When they play poorly they slice and dice them up and the players get surly. No happy medium.
