London Knights played Oshawa Generals today. Looks like Cowan is really growing. SN article. The OHL-leading Knights erased a 3-0 deficit with three goals in the third period before Cowan's winner extended London's team point streak to 23 games. Cowan now has 42 points (16 goals) in his 21-game streak and is tied for eighth in league scoring with 70 points (25 goals) in 40 games.
The 21-game run ties Cowan with current Maple Leaf Mitch Marner for third longest point streak in Knights history.The Leafs picked Cowan, 18, in the first round (28th overall) of last year's NHL Draft. Cowan was part of Canada's team that was eliminated in the quarterfinals at this year's world junior championship.

I'm going to try and keep my expectations in check regarding Cowan, but I think he may turn out to be one of the smartest draft picks the Leafs have made in recent history. If he was in the draft this year he'd have been long gone before the Leafs turn came.

Last year's draft was considered exceptional, for both quality and depth, so maybe even a blind drafting dept. could get lucky. let's hope.
I was hoping to see better results from Easton during the WJC?
