Might be the best thing for both sides but the list of players that were once Leafs that have blossomed is hard to take. Moore, Marchment, Verhaegge, Durzi, Amadio, Grundstrom and many more. Nick could easily thrive elsewhere but if it helps the team get to the ultimate goal then you have to do it I guess. Nothing ventured, nothing gained they say?

Some of the trades were for the then today, Durzi/Grundstrom plus for Muzzin, Muzzin was needed, if Muzzin was still playing I'd call that trade a win for TO.
Verhage, TO needed to make room when they had 50 signed players, TO got a good player back in that trade, Verhage took 6 years to make the NHL and after his 1st year he started to show his potential, I don't think TO could wait that long for a player when the future was now.
Neither Marchment nor Moore were good enough to play any significant time on the Leafs, Amadio as well.
I think Robertson hustles and can score but he doesn't move the needle and Keefe wants a player that's relevant now, all the time, I think Robertson still needs time which is alrite. If they could get a quality return for Robertson I'd say go for it.

Robertson has been up and down. Without being up for a whole season made it hard for him to develop more. I think it would only be fair to trade him so he finally gets more chance than he does on the Leafs.

I like Robertson, he just needs to play top-6 consistently. If he joins a team that puts him in a good position, he'll be fine.

Yes, he is still young and he's beginning to show promise but it seems very obvious with this coaching stuff and management that he's not going to get a fair shake, so why not deal him in a package and get something about that can help us now.?

I'm not a big Robertson guy but think he has potential if he can stay healthy. He's on a cheap deal rt now. I'd stick with him. Sit tight.

Things are coming to a head with Nick Robertson, personal I'd be surprised if he hasn't already asked for a trade. So the question is what would you get for a small non physical one demential defensively weak forward who has a very good shot. On his own I'd say probably a 3 round pick if you find the right team.

Maybe he is include in a bigger package. But yeah he hasn't really proven too much. There are signs of talent but inconsistent and injury prone.

Thing is, it's hard for a lot of players to get playing time here, so off they go to more PT and blossom.
