Sabres played last night in an impressive come from behind win against the Devils. Leafs cannot expect them to be flat just because they played last night. Sabres burn us so many times. Leafs have 4 tough games against Bolts and Cats. The other 6 games are against non playoff teams. That should be a good thing but often it’s not with this team. Let’s start putting together the type of game needed for the playoffs. Build on the effort against the Caps.
GO LEAFS GO!!

You are right TMan. The Sabres always play us tough. I’m hoping that’s not the case tonight so I don’t have to hear all the 💩from all the local Sabres fans. GO LEAFS GO!!!

Before 1999, I could care less about the Sabres. But after the Sabres beat the Leafs in the 1999 Eastern Conference Final, the Sabres became public enemy #1 for me. They rank right up there with the Sens and Bruins. The Leafs could be #1 in the league and the Sabres could be #32 in the league and they would still find a way to beat the Leafs. Time for it to change. For the Leafs to annihilate the Sabres.

I totally expect a loss. We don't rise to the occasion vs Buffalo. Hope they prove me wrong.

Samsonov had good period. How can our power play continue to be this bad? It's not all Marner. It was going south with him in their. They seem way too concerned trying to set Auston up. Change things up Keefe. Wake up!!

Pretty good period for Toronto. Looked good killing two penalties and Matthews probably should have had his 60th on PP.

Gotta stay outta the box. Sammy can’t hold the fort forever. Buffalo seems the better team. Hold em boys. Need this one.

Yay, Matthews gets #60! I have the ESPN+ broadcast. They said even the Sabres fans were standing up applauded him.

#1 Star was Samsonov by a mile. Huge saves. So glad he got shutout. He deserves it. Worked his but off from where he was first half. Looked so confident. Love when leaving ice after game he stopped to applaud all the Leaf fans in attendance.
Not a perfect win but good enough for a road win cs Buffalo. Those don't come easy.

Gritty win! Loved the response after the dirty hit on Brodie. Didn’t love the way Sabres jumped a lot of our guys. A-holes. Sammy was sooo good. He needed to be because I thought the Leafs were awful in their end. Willy had bursts of offence but thought he made some lazy passes and floated in his zone. Anyhow did enough to win. Not gonna pi$$ and moan too much. Better be better Monday night.

Tough win but the crowd was full of Leaf fans. That'll bug the sabres but the owner won't care who buys the tickets. Good win.

Really strong game from Samsonov, great wrister from JT, no. 60 for AM, Robbie continues to contribute! Yes, they still need to improve with their play in their end but otherwise a good night at the rink for the Leafs. Let's hope that Sammy can carry this kind of play into the playoffs.

I thought Buffalo outplayed the boys but our guys took advantage when given the opportunities. Sammy saved their butts and was absolutely spectacular. I also loved the way the boys stood up for each other. Giordano is the consummate teammate and at 40 years old is still sticking up for his buds. The question I have is what the hell has happened to our power play? Is Marner that important to it or are there deeper issues?
