Usually it is between 3pm and 5pm when I read about new cases. They just announced 98 new cases in Oregon today bringing the cases to 415 with 1 more death. But they think the acutal amount of cases might be higher due to the lack of tests available. They didn't say yet where the cases are, but I did read this morning that a Health Care person at the Tillamook County Health Care Clinic in Tillamook (town) tested positive. It looks like Mr. Trump just put a cost on an American life and determined that the federal government was not going to pay for it and then blames Obama. ? ? ? ? WTF
As I said, he is a lowlife @$$hole that still doesn't take the Covid virus serious. In my opinion he is either a narcissistic egomanic or a narcissistic megalomaniac. As for blaming Obama, doesn't surprise me because of his personality. Did you hear that a few months ago they tried to impeach Trump? I wish they had succeeded. But it's really hard to do so it failed by a few votes.

He loves to point the finger at others and flat out lying while he does it. He is an evil, uncaring idiot.

He loves to point the finger at others and flat out lying while he does it. He is an evil, uncaring idiot. You are spot on! I'm glad I can say I never voted for him. I hope the people who did vote him in have woken up to that fact and he loses the election by a landslide. How did your grocery run go? I hope you wiped down the cart really well with the wipes stores provide. Was there any Conavirus in Thailand while you were there? Yesterday I read Thailand was declaring a state of emergency and imposing a broad lockdown to fight it. Today their Public Ministry announced 91 new cases with 1 new death, with the total Conavirus cases to 1,136 and 5 deaths now.

I'm glad to hear you had masks and wipes. Looks like you got out of there just in time. I didn't mention it, but I was sort of worried about you and your wife being there with it world wide (you're family, 21.5 years online family). How are the rest of you guys, and families, doing? I know it is spreading in Canada. I read there are 4,018 confirmed cases, 25 probable cases, and 39 deaths. In 2019 Canada's population was 37.59 million, and the 2019 U.S. population was 329.45 million. It seems as if it's almost as bad in Canada as in the U.S. (we are in the middle of taking the 2020 U.S. Census, we can do it online instead through the mail).

Family and extended family all well. I don’t know anyone personally that has contracted it. Yes the numbers aren’t good here either. Once the ice is off the lakes I can go fishing. Plenty of room to self distance. And when the weather warms we have a big yard and garden to look after. All I need is enough beer to do all this!! Lol. Hopefully the trend starts to drop in the coming weeks. Stay healthy Pam and LC members!!

Counties:
Directly above mine: Clatsop up from 1 cases to 3 cases Southeast middle to southeast corner: Yamhill up from 4 cases to 13 cases Late last night Tillamook announced they had a 2nd case, a First Responder
24 of Oregon's counties now have active cases
Benton 8 Clackamas 39 Clatsop 3 Columbia 1 Deschutes 23 Douglas 4 Grant 1 Hood River 2 Jackson 19 Josephine 6 Klamath 4 Lane 10 Lincoln 1 Linn 36 Marion 109 Morrow 1 Multnomah 91 Polk 13 Tillamook 2 Umatilla 4 Union 1 Wasco 3 Washington 154 Yamhill 13
Washington County which runs from the top east corner to the middle east side of Tillamook County is the hardest hit. If I remember right, the only 4 travelers were from Washington county. The other 150 cases are all community spread with all but 2 of them not knowing anyone with it. All counties other than Washington didn't have travelers. The majority of cases in Oregon they didn't know anyone with it, it was community spread.

Last weekend I said inland Oregon flooded our beaches like it was vacation. So you won't think I exagerated, here is an article from about 3 hours ago www.kgw.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/beaches-coastal-cities-empty-as-oregons-stay-home-order-takes-hold/283-c3368091-3c68-4aea-ae9c-526194908ee6Beaches, coastal cities empty as Oregon's stay-home order takes hold After beaches were packed last weekend, this Sunday, Seaside was practically a ghost town and Cannon Beach was nearly empty. Author: Lindsay Nadrich Published: 7:25 PM PDT March 29, 2020 Updated: 7:46 PM PDT March 29, 2020 CANNON BEACH, Ore. — Oregon is nearly a week into the stay-home order and so far, Gov. Kate Brown believes it is working to help flatten the curve. It seems like many people are taking it seriously, especially when you look at the number of people on the Oregon coast this weekend compared to last weekend. This time last week, beaches and parking lots were packed. The influx of people had coastal mayors issuing orders for people to go home. "These people were coming in, flooding our stores, supplies were starting to get scarce to start with," said Warrenton Mayor Henry Balensifer. "The COVID-19 pandemic is not just an opportunity for a traveling vacation, it's a threat to our very lives," said Tillamook Mayor Suzanne Weber in a video she posted to Facebook asking people to leave immediately. Communities that normally welcome people during spring break were pleading with them to leave. "This street was just covered with cars up the road where you're not supposed to park on the road, so it was overrun with visitors," said Cannon Beach resident Nancy Kroll. "It was crazy, like even some of the locals said it looked like Fourth of July. I mean the beaches were packed, it really was," said Cannon Beach resident Jay Muncy. This Sunday though, Seaside was practically a ghost town and Cannon Beach was nearly empty. "Looking around I see one car ... and then yours makes two, so that's good," Kroll said as she looked at the parking lot. "This is temporary. Please everybody come back, we want you to visit, just not right now." Muncy said he has never seen Cannon Beach like this. He said it was so empty he could ride his bike down the middle of the street. "I mean there ain't nobody here, it's quiet," Muncy said. "It's very quiet." The lack of people is tough on local restaurants like The Driftwood, but they know it's necessary to stop the spread of COVID-19. "It's a little bitter sweet," said Driftwood General Manager Jordan Maier. "I'm glad people are staying home. At the same time, it's hard on the town, hard on the businesses, but it's something that probably needs to be done." The message to stay home is something Gov. Brown is working to enforce through a new ad campaign. The empty beaches are a sign that many are taking this seriously.

Think about this for a second. We are now applauding our governments for removing our liberties. We need to carry papers just to move around. Three people in my area fined $1000 each just for riding in a car together. It's a brave new world out there. I'm not saying it wrong, just saying......Geeze.......... We are living in a world I never thought I would see in my lifetime.

Crazy times call for crazy measures bwf. It’s a pain in the ass for sure but if it slows down this wave I’m all for it. If people continue to ignore what the gov’t is asking us to do then the armed forces will step in. Then you will see what it’s like to have your liberties taken away. If this crisis doesn’t start turning the other way I see violence in the streets, civil unrest. The world needs some good news!

Some of the Hospitals in Oregon that have reliable testing facilities started helping with the Covid-19 testing since getting more test kits. I just read an article postd on the web from ABC - KATU TV. Unfortunately, some bad news. One of the Hospitals has had 12 staff members test positive. On January 20th the Governor asked for Federal help to supply more masks, gloves, etc., and was told they would help. Oregon is still waiting for most of that protective help from the Fed Gov. katu.com/news/local/12-staff-members-at-ohsu-test-positive-for-coronavirus-56-others-await-results12 staff members at OHSU test positive for coronavirusby KATU Staff Monday, March 30th 2020 PORTLAND, Ore. – Twelve staff members at the Oregon Health and Science University (or OHSU) have tested positive for coronavirus, the hospital president said during a press conference Monday. Officials said there were 56 more employees awaiting test results. OHSU president Danny Jacobs said they were able to identify the cases thanks to increased testing at the hospital. The announcement came during a teleconference with lawmakers and healthcare workers who were urging officials to outfit those on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak with more personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves and masks. They want the federal government to distribute PPE from the strategic national stockpile, identify and distribute reserves of PPE in other industries, and ensure all frontline workers can get tested for coronavirus. Governor Kate Brown says Oregon is making progress on boosting its supply of personal protective equipment for those on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak, but she wants the federal government to do more. “I want to sincerely thank every single individual and organization who contributed to this effort," said Governor Brown. "You truly reflect the Oregon way––coming together in difficult times for the good of Oregonians most in need.”

Counties: Late last night Tillamook announced they had a 2nd case, a First Responder Tillamook 2 This morning I found out a 3rd person tested positive for Covid-19 in Tillamook County. Results on that person must have come out after OHA reported the cases. They also said person 1 was South County, meaning in or around Tillamook (town) and person 2 is North County, meaning in or near my area. As of 8am this morning (Monday) there are 606 positive cases and 16 deaths. TMan, I agree . We can't have health workers and 1st responders getting it. If the Federal government actually sent the masks and gloves they promised Oregon 2 months ago it would help them and maybe them not getting sick.
