Well this guy is big, experienced and has a ring. Plenty of dmen should injuries occur. Tre probably done on d but with the Caps retaining salary it makes me think Tre looking for a top 6 winger. If Edmundson plays well Tre could maybe sign him this summer. I’m ok with this move but at this rate there will come a time when the Leafs have 0 picks in a draft.😁😵💫

One thing I like about him is he has history of sticking up for teammates. No hesitation. Wonder if there is a market for Brodie and his salary.

At first I thought no way they would move Brodie but it’s an intriguing possibility. Doubt it will happen but if Tre looking to find a top six winger maybe Brodie and Robertson might draw some interest. If they keep Brodie on the left side and maybe have him on 3rd pairing he could be useful.
I wonder if Vatrano could be had from the Ducks?

Tyler Toffoli would be interesting.
Laggeson on waivers to make room.

Another lefty? Leafs have enough lefties already. Keefe was asking management to get another righty. They are sorely lacking righties.

Apparently Edmundson can play the right side so there’s that. RHD are hard to find especially cheap ones which is all Tre can afford.😁 Edmundsen is not fast, quite a few giveaways over his career but he guards the net fearlessly and has a mean streak. Can kill penalties as well as take penalties. Leafs have 4 guys now that like to hit people. Leafs zone hopefully not an easy place for opponents to manoeuvre in anymore.

Yeah slim pickings on rt side. He has played rd and played juniors with Rielly

Well, if he can play right, I will be cautiously optimistic about him. If he hits and guards our net, then I will be more optimistic. I don't want him to trade just to trade. I only want him to trade for someone who will play a little better than someone currently on the team.

Just heard in 2025 draft we have 3 picks. 5th 6th and 7th. Nothing first 4 rounds. Might as well trade them away. No need for scouts for a year. Please don't trade this year's first. Please

Please 🤣🤣🤣I agree, trade the remaining 2025 picks and take a holiday.😁 At some point management is going to have to say enough is enough. They’ve been chasing the carrot ever since Matthew's got here. I guess after next season there will be money to spend rather than give away picks so it might work out in the wash. Not my worry but it sure would be nice to finally put a competitive, hard to play against team for this years run.

It's really becoming more clear you can't win with so much tied up in 4 guys. These older Ufa plugs we get year after year, giving up all our draft picks doesn't cut. Just can't do it.
How many more years for JT? Got to get him off books.

One more season for JT but then Marner will have his hand out? Leafs didn’t improve much with Boosh n Edmundson. Not faster, not better offence, not better first pass, not better rushing BUT they will provide a harder environment for opponents and we should not expect anything more than that. Domi and Bert could be intangibles here. Bert had a great playoff last year. They will really need to step up the intensity and get under people’s skin.
I see the Leafs traded a 6th to Carolina for a 6’7” dman that they couldn’t sign. 23 years old. 200+ pounder. Who knows?

Treliving is following the Dubas model of getting ufa's for a month then they walk. Only difference us size of players

Leafs aren’t the only team that does that this time of year. If he did nothing else I could live with it because the competition is overwhelming this season in the East. But I’m pretty sure Tre has a forward move coming yet.
